Dr. Barry's compassion to help others is the
catalyst that steered him into Chiropractic
Medicine where he received his doctoral
degree from the University of Bridgeport.
In addition to studying Chiropractic, he also
obtained a Master of Science Degree in Human
Nutrition and earned his Bachelor of Science
Degree in Physiology and Neurobiology from
the University of Connecticut.
He has also studied Acupuncture and received post-graduate training and
certification in Orthopedic Acupuncture. He earned his Fellowship and Diplomate
in Acupuncture through the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture.
Haven Athletics and the Board of Education. He is adjunct professor of
Sports Medicine and Nutrition at Quinnipiac University and Founder and
Clinical Director of Chiropractic Health Care Center of Hamden, LLC.
Dr. Barry feels his practice is very community based and enjoys being
active in the Hamden Community where he resides. He serves as Co-Chair on
the Board of Commissioners for the Commission on Disabilities, Human
Rights and Opportunities. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the
Hamden Chamber of Commerce and is on the Advisory Board for Stone
Academy.
He has been recognized with several prestigious awards in recent years
including the Small Business of the Year 2010 by the Hamden Chamber of
commerce as well as Advocate Best of New Haven Readers' poll in 2007 and
2008
for best acupuncturist in New Haven County. He has received The "Forty
Under 40 Award", which applauded him for professional achievement and
community involvement. He has also received the 2007 Volunteer Award for
his support and dedication to the Hamden Chamber of Commerce.
Due to his skill and compassion, Dr. Barry was inducted as a lifetime
member among Cambridge Who's Who executives, professionals and
entrepreneurs.
Dr. Barry is highly regarded as one of the top Chiropractic Physicians not
solely based on his professional achievements, but also due to his
patients’ response to his warmth, enthusiasm and community based approach
to medicine.
